I am a software engineer of 7 years’ experience, currently learning and working in tech policy. This has afforded me a uniquely practical perspective on how modern technology is created and how businesses and governments think about interfacing with technology.
I started this new adventure (and subsequently, this newsletter) because I saw increasing gaps in my home country of the United States. While in no way can one person fix any of these gaps, the one that I hoped to help with was perceived generational differences in technology driving deeply conflicting narratives. And so this newsletter was born at the intersection between an attempt at healing divisiveness and discussing emergent technology.
I love a good pun or play-on words, so I’ve designated short-form posts as “caches,” quick-access articles that are meant to give a brief look into high-level topics. These are separate from medium-form posts as “kernels,” lengthier articles tackling specific issues that are still lightweight but take a little bit longer to digest. I am aiming to post at least something monthly, but it’s ultimately up to when I feel that I have something to say (as I would rather not dilute a message by adhering to a stricter schedule).
The sources of all images are outlined intentionally. Where AI images are used, they are only intended as a visual guide to go along with the newsletter.
